2012-2013

Working in the UK, France, Italy and Spain, my photography has been concerned with:

the landscape as an active arena for change, decay and the interaction between nature and civilization;

the urban and rural environments as zones of expression of cultural meaning and aspiration;

photographic space as a source of poetic inspiration and a pathway to the surreal, using ephemeral coincidence of light, form and culture to pose questions whose only solution may be an enigma.

• Residencies and awards for work in landscape and documentary photography including Photographer in Residence at South West Arts for Year of the Artist.

• Trained Art Historian with a PhD for research in classical iconography.

• Writer on and publisher of fine art photography.

• Engagement with contemporary arts culture including attendance at Venice Biennale from early 1990's.
