Cerne Creatives: Photography, Music, Art, Education

• Live event and documentary photography, informal portraiture;
• Oboe/bassoon/flute: performance and consultancy on learning and dyslexia;
• Editorial and graphic design.

Based in Cerne Abbas and their 17th century house in Burgundy, France, Piers and Rosalind Rawson offer a portfolio of creative skills and training opportunities. Both have lived and worked in West Dorset for many years. They aim to establish a cultural hub in both locations, centred on creative activities, exhibition and music.

Piers Rawson is an award-winning landscape and documentary photographer; he has also taught photography skills to students of all ages, and written, edited and designed for publication in the arts.

Rosalind Rawson is an oboist and trained teacher, with specialist experience in learning and dyslexia. She has had a long teaching association with Dorset Rural Music School, Milton Abbey and Bryanston Schools. From 2013, Rosalind has published a blog about developing two contrasting walled gardens, one in Cerne Abbas, the other in Vermenton, near Chablis.
